In 1975 we had a Volkswagen beetle which we hadn't had for long. On a trip to Penzance with friends and our baby son Michael, an unusual noise was noted by myself as I was sat above the wheel. I kept telling David about the noise when suddenly the wheel rolled past us. The car came to an abrupt halt. David ran down the road, picked up the wheel and put it back on the car before we continued on our journey!!
